As MATRIX Curatorial Assistant, Dena Beard supports the MATRIX Program for Contemporary Art, a pioneering series of project exhibitions with contemporary artists. She assists with all curatorial activities, including research, writing, and the production of new works. Prior to joining the staff at BAM/PFA, Dena was Curatorial/Development Associate for the Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum, an alternative art space that presented 16-18 exhibitions annually.
