Sanchez Art Center, Pacifica—Opening Friday, March 3, with a reception from 7 to 9 pm, are three new exhibits. Helge Ternsten exhibits minimalist paintings that are more like sculptures in It Is What It Isn’t. Also opening March 3 are Lost & Found, a group exhibit from the Art Guild of Pacifica, and Coastside Invitational, presenting works by local high school students and Skyline College faculty, curated by Arthur Takayama of Skyline College. Blue City Jazz will provide music for the reception. Coastside Invitational offers a special daytime reception for the participating art instructors and students on March 18 from 2 to 4 pm. On closing Sunday, April 2, Helge Ternsten and curator Jerry Barrish will talk about Ternsten’s work in the Main Gallery. Sanchez Art Center is located at 1220 Linda Mar Blvd, Pacifica, CA.
