Anne Lesley Selcer

Anne Lesley Selcer is poet in the expanded field and art writer. Her work appears on the page, on the wall, and as critical essay. She has been commissioned for writing by SFMoma's Open Space, 2nd Floor Projects, Artspeak, Center A, the Or, as well as by artists Abbas Ackhavan and Aurel Schmidt. Her poetry collection from A Book of Poems on Beauty won the Gazing Grain publication in 2014. She also authored Banlieusard, an experimental book length text which responds to an exhibit at Artspeak (Vancouer). Author of two additional chapbooks, writing has also been included in seven anthologies, most recently New Media Art 2017 (Cica Museum). Poetry or video has appeared in Fence, Elderly, GaussPdf, Armed Cell, The Visible Verse festival among other places, and most recently appears in the Chicago Review. Critical writing appears in Fillip, Entropy, and Formes Poetiques Contemporaines and most recently in The Capilano Review. She has held residencies at Krowswork gallery and Mildred's Land, and is currently an Art Writing Fellow at Southern Exposure.
