Antennae Prism Mirror
Kamau Patton and Suzy Poling Visit the Artists: Thursday - Saturday, 12 pm - 6 pm Antennae Prism Mirror is a collaborative project between Kamau Patton and Suzy Poling that explores the 3-D effects of lenticular screens and light alongside experimental sound, video, film, and performance to create a multi-dimensional, experiential environment. During their residency, Patton and Poling explore how refracting, bending and stretching light can occur by moving and manipulating materials such as mirrors and sculptural devices. This fall, Southern Exposure transforms its entire 14th Street location into a workspace for artists, teachers and youth artists. Our front storefront gallery holds three month-long residencies. Kamau and Suzy are the second resident artists in this series. Many informal events will take place over the course of this residency and will be posted at www.soex.org. Please check often.
